Caddis flies are prevalent on most New England streams year round. I use caddis patterns as searching flies. When you enter the river cast over expected feeding lies. Fish them drag free, in the swing, and skitter them over feeding lies and to expecting bank feeders. Keep a good supply of various caddis flies in your bins throughout the fishing season.
