For those of you fortunate to have this giant mayfly in your local waters be sure to keep plenty of stock readily available. For New England fly fishers this is an evening emergence. Fish the nymphs before dark. Skitter emergers at the first signs of emergence. Once the hatch is in full swing look at the majority of mayflies. You may see that it could be an evening of duns, an evening of spinners or a mix of both, focus on the majority. Either way any one fishing this hatch should all stages of this mayfly in their arsenal.
